Ajax Let Maxwell Go
Left-back Maxwell has been released from his contractual obligations by Dutch giants Ajax in a unilateral move made by the management that brings a premature end to the Brazilian’s days at the Amsterdam Arena.
Maxwell has been with Ajax since 2001, playing a total of 114 games and scoring ten goals. His contract came to an end in June 2006, and the reason for the axe being swung from above is still the cause of speculation.
