Agreed, 'tis a pity that Lippi already used two subs. I dunno why Iaquinta started ahead of Toni to begin with. IMO Camoranesi should have started as well.

nah De Rossi was a better choice. he stabalized the midfield. But now that Italy need a goal Camo needed to be brought on.

I would have started De Rossi, Pirlo and Camoranesi. De Rossi, Pirlo and Gattuso are all essentially defensive midfielders even though Pirlo is a deep-lying playmaker. Seeing as neither Gatto or Camo are comfortable on the left and we needed a defensive presence I would have played De Rossi but I would have also given Camo the nod.
