He wasn't of course, Italy had great team, but Baggio was their leader on the pitch, the one to make a difference, to provide that spark of creativity and ingenuity. Practically every chance that Italy created had his signature. All I'm saying is that Iniesta, although an excellent player, very technical and talented, can't be put on the same pedestal.

Iniesta cant be part of an all time World Cup team. he isnt that great. i named players that are ahead of him and Casillas World cup wise, and would make the All time WC team 99 times out of 100 (the 1 is Marcas team) before these two. end of discussion

The only downside I would say for championing Iniesta is that the team and system he played/plays in is all important and defining, the team. Spain have had various individuals excel at key moments for their success; Xavi, Casillas, Puyol and Iniesta, but their system is the main focus.
