Nasri is a huge primadonna and has a history of causing trouble off the pitch.

Deschamps put it well: "I built the best squad, I did not pick the 23 best French players." A wise decision given the failings of French squads in the past that looked stacked but had no cohesion.

Some people said that Evra shouldn't be in the squad either because he's had some incidents in the past, but deep down he's a leader with a big motivation to win on the pitch.
