Howard Webb was terrible today. De Jong should definitely have been sent off, that was a terrible challenge, it was disgraceful that he wasn't red carded. Puyol should have been sent off too, Robben who normally falls at the slightest of contacts, was naive not to fall over, he should have fell over and Puyol should definitely have been sent off. There was also a penalty for Xavi that wasn't counted, and there were several wrong calls, all in all Howard Webb was his usual self, a rather mediocre and overrated referee.

All goals Spain scored were scored by a Barca player. Geez, I will hear this for the next God knows how many years :sergio:

Stupid Villa. He could've waited for the WC to end before he signed for Barca.
Just called a Spanish friend from Barcelona. She says they see this as a victory for Barcelona as well. Probably kind of awkward with the protests too..

what penalty, he tripped himself.

he crapped over the game by carding every player on sight in the first 25 mins, reduced it to a suffering, cagey affair.

Look at it again.

He wanted to shoot the ball, Heitinga put his foot in front of Xavi's foot and Xavi caught Heitinga's foot instead, no attempt to play the ball. Definite penalty.

Webb's not as bad as other refs who overreact in the opposite direction and ruin games by putting a team a man down. Webb at least "lets the players play" even though they should be sent off in some instances.

Robben lost holland the world cup, it's ironic that out of all the needless diving he's done throughout his career when he's being heavily pressured by two Spanish defenders and going to face the keeper he strangely feels compelled to stay on his feet. No doubt he could have been done for diving but if there's any player that could have made something out of that it was Robben.

Also taking off van bronckhorst was probably the managers biggest mistake, his experience was invaluable and braafheid was absolutley nowhere to be seen when inesta scored from that flank.
