Unfortunately it is wrong. This is the case when a player from the opposing team is in the way. But here we're talking about a team mate. Melo should have gone out of the way. It's the first bloody thing they teach you when defending set pieces. You listen to your goalie.

Like you said earlier, you don't know whether Cesar called it or not. Even though it seems likely a goalie like him would, the way things happened it certainly looked like he didn't.

We could discuss this all day, but I'm glad they screwed up, and that's the bottom line for me. :p

Predictions for tonight?

No no, we know that Rab is going to touch himself, Andy is going to watch the market, Burke will be..no, he already is drunk. We know that Alen is already searching for some statistics and Hoori...well I can't say that.

U R Gay - Holland, predictions?

Do we know that Júlio César made the call to collect it?

It wasn't needed anyway, Felipe Melo would have cleared it.
In a situation like this, the goalie always comes. You see it happen a million times. It was such a poor ball in by Sneijder, that it would have been an easy save. We do not know for certain Cesar made the call, but to be honest it is very unlikely he didn't.

1-0 Uruguay, but I wouldn't mind Holland winning.

Heh, I'll probably watch both today. Have the day off as well.

If I had to bet, I'd bet on Holland, but Uruguay isn't in dire straights here. If they manage to get an early goal the Dutch are in a bit of trouble I believe. Also, it appears that Ooijer will have to start again, and he's a weak link at the back that Forlan should have a field day with.

Wouldn't bother me if either team won, but in some ways I'd like to see Uruguay in the final.

We see this differently then. In that position, I don't know why a goalkeeper would come out when his defenders easily outnumber the Dutch, and Felipe Melo is the only one who has a chance of getting to the ball with his head.

You can't even imagine how right you were here

My head will explode. Since 9 a.m I'm going through some idiotic population statistics and I'm not even halfway.
Bloody footnotes take incredible amount of time.

I had everything well and carefully prepared, for years, in separate envelopes, but even this way it still takes time and sometimes 2-3 pages take me a whole day to write them :wallbang:

Back to work.

How well I know you. That sounds boring though, why are doing that?

I know it's related to your job and everything but I still don't get it. :D

And what do you predict for tonight?

I'm writing the doctorate. Sometimes it goes smoothly when I write about more interesting things and when I can write more freely. But when there is a capitol where you must stick to the facts, numbers etc, it's living hell. I feel like breaking the bloody PC, lose everything I have in it, set all my papers on fire and kill myself.

The Dutch ain't gonna have an easy match but they're gonna win it anyway. The 2nd half, again, will be theirs to decide the match.
