I believe the Villa incident was a penalty, if you look at it closely, there was enough contact for him to fall down, he might have over dramatized it and made too much of a meal of it, but the contact was there, and it was enough to put him off. It was a penalty and should have been a red. The Cesc one was a penalty too.

However, the Paraguay penalty should have been repeated, if you see it again, two Spain defenders are halfway into the penalty box before Cardozo even shoots the ball. If he took it again and scored, things could have been very different.

Rather poor refereeing overall imo.

Spain's. Villa dived.
Really?

The replays show clearly that the Paraguayan player did catch the back of Villa's legs. Whether he dived or not doesn't change the fact that the contact caused him to lose his balance. I don't even think anyone would complain if the ref showed a red card there, he was 1 to 1 with the keeper.

In the 2nd pen, Villa got the rebound ball when Fabregas went to the ground, so the ref could've given the advantage to Villa, but it happened in a matter of seconds, I think the ref had no idea what's going on :D

I agree, there was contact, it might not have caused the fall, that definitely was a dive. But there was contact and it was enough to put him off and cause him to lose his balance.

The experts on Swedish TV are all saying that it was a cheap penalty call.

I agree. That goes for the whole tournament too.
