Altidore looks sluggish. That's worrisome.

We keep getting beat to the ball and the young Ghanians don't really seem to have any fear in them, so they're trying exquisite backheels and simply running at us like crazy, which is the best way to beat us. For some reason our tactics seem to consist mostly of getting the ball behind the Ghanaian defense, but those guys aren't slow pokes -- they're quick on their feet. You generally will not out pace them. So that, along with the starting XI, is obviously flawed.

The need is to get the ball out wide more, get more possession, and put in better crosses. Unfortunately, we have a problem with Cherundolo in that he's carded and under severe pressure with Ayew out wide, and the fact that Findley needs to be removed. Yet we only have two subs left against a team that is very fit and quick.

Donovan, Dempsey and Altidore need to step up once again right now and find a way to get the ball outside more to stretch that defense. Set pieces will be key.

We can do this. No reason to panic. All we need is a little heart and urgency.

In other news, Bill Clinton and Mick Jagger? What the fuck? I'd love to sit next to them and eavesdrop on what they're talking about.

Bill always looks flabbergasted.
