FIFA have acknowledged there are problems with the Jabulani ball, but will only discuss it after the World Cup.

Players from more or less every squad have complained about the Adidas sphere, with Gigi Buffon calling it “offensively bad” and Giampaolo Pazzini stating it was “a disaster.”

FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke admitted the protests had made an impact.

“We’re not deaf. FIFA is not unreceptive about what has been said about the ball.

"There are rules for size and weight. ... But the ball has to be perfect.”

FIFA will discuss the Jabulani situation with Coaches and squads after the tournament in South Africa.

Adidas has been contracted to manufacture the World Cup ball since 1970 and will continue to do so until 2014.

The Jabulani has been used in the Bundesliga for the last six months.
