Its pretty sad that they did so horribly seeing that they had the Confederations Cup to practice and still Lippi had no clue that he had to make serious changes. He should have retired instead of retaking Italy.

I don't think Quag's goal was offside so if the refereeing had been better Italy probably would have ended up moving on to get crushed by Holland but they deserve this. Finishing below New Zealand is what you get for such a shitty performance.
