How can Marchisio take Pirlo's place when they are totally different kind of players?
Lippi force too much to Montolivo to play in Pirlo's role. You don't need to play other player to play thing he not capable of. De Rossi - Marchisio as pair in central midfield without Montolivo looks good and Marchi doesn't need to be on the wing or even play as Pirlo. He just need to be himself

Burned it down :D I figured that "black" suits me more.
You confuse the heck out of me with all thoise thoughts you keep having :D

The bandwagon jumping has begun
Too soon though. It will be a good game actually. Both US and Ghana have a very good squad capable of producing good football.

Hopefully it will be entertaining.

She's already betrayed us. Not surprising considering how many avatars a girl like that goes through.
Switching from the land of the dream to the land of "whatever" is pretty dramatic. Dont you agree?

Yeah, the squad sucks, but Lippi was partly to blame as well. He's basically on the same level as Zach after he used Marchisio on the wing.
I thought you were being sensible for a moment then.

He takes much of the blame for any individual performance, JJ.

He had 1000 players to choose from and pick 23. Many people thought he made wrong choices and by making those choices, despite what the public wanted, he becomes responsible for many of the bad games and brainfarts they make.

Cannavaro is such a case. One of the many.

Yes, you're right, it can not be ALL Lippi, but boy does he hold a huge part, a major part, of the blame.
He can take the blame collectively, for the players he picked, and yes, you factor in mistakes, but you can't say he was to blame for the mistakes from someone like Chiellini or De Rossi, proven players who are of a high level.

I guess whether you are 'right or wrong' depends on what the squad achieves. There is always criticism of Nazionale selection, a million and one coaches at home who would take someone else, in 2006 it was no different. This time they flopped in terms of progression and it's right that Lippi puts his neck on the line with the calls he makes, but there are more variables in a World Cup.
