I agree, but don't get arrogant and think that only croatians and serbians would be in the first eleven. Bosnians and most of all Slovenians showed where great football is played.

Slovenia is curently the best nation in the balkans. The results speak for themselves.
We're talking about early 90's and during that period, the Yougoslavian team would 95% be made out of Serbian and Croatian players.

As for, current situation...please, realistically looking Croatia, possibly Serbia but they did not convince me in the World Cup, is still strongest team in the Balkans. We had the most difficult qualifying group and failed to qualify because of injuries and the fact the English we're in the form of their life and extremely motivated against us because we knocked them out of the last Euro. The England in this group stage can not be compared, they have crumbled under pressure.

And what results? You didn't even pass the group. Don't get me wrong, you did good and can be proud of your performance but realistically looking, Croatia, Serbia and possibly Bosnia are all stronger teams than Slovenia.

All I hear is excuses, individually ofcourse you have better players, but you can't say you have a better team if you didn't even qualify for the WC.

During the 90s Croatia could have won a lot of trophies on their own with a bit more luck. So I can't say anything about that, but times are changing...

There are no excuses, mate, it's the way things are. There are other teams that failed to qualify but realistically are stronger than you. Hondurras also made it to the World Cup, so I suppose they are stronger than us and on par with you.

Definitely. You have made a lot of progress, Bosnia especially, even though they didn't qualify, but you've still got a way to go.

Maybe so, but you have only yourselfs to blame. I just checked your group and you should have been atleast 2nd, but weren't. And don't think our group was easy when the draw was made many people predicted us to be 4th or 5th but we came through.

Yeah, we have ourselves to blame that much is true. However, after winning absolutely every game, I didn't expect England to lose against Ukraine, which basically knocked us out. England fielded their best team, yet they played like wussies...No one can convince me they simply didn't try hard enough there, they wanted revenge against us. But it's our fault we got to that situation though so I don't blame them.

Well done Aussies! Terrific result with a bit of luck things may have been different.

Juventus need a jack in the box such as Cahill. Chasing Krasic where was he when the game was there to be won on the pine. :D

With all due respect you guys were in the group with Slovakia, while Croatia were with England, Serbia with France, and Bosnia with Spain.

You guys have great team play, but still I wasn't very impressed. You barely won against Algeria (mostly thanks to Ghezzal and their keeper), you should have lost against USA and got beaten by England...

Also we (Bosnia) played against you about year and half ago and we dominated that game and won.

Slovenia best Balkan team, never! It's not even funny...

I had a teary-eyed moment as well. You have to understand this meant a lot to us.

Wuss or not, he is clutch. And this is from someone who used to hate his guts because he didn't man-up.
