It's harsh, but there are some things you will never understand unless you're born into a culture that absolutely loves the sport.

I love watching American Football for example, but there are details I will never understand, just because I rarely talk about it and because people over here just don't care.

For me to not know anything about soccer, like Andy claims, is simply impossible. It would be impossible if I wanted to.
But you don't believe in nationality and cultures, we are all the same, pan global people.

Really?

I couldn't believe that miss my own eyes but I didn't even think of ball tbh. Maybe..dunno. But Zigic's header was also :sergio: as he was all alone. But man, first half was ours and I was happy, I thought we'd win it easily..
Unfortunately, the players thought the same.

If they scored in the first half it was gonna be different.

But my name is Kyle, I don't know GEUGROUGHY!
Who ever knew that Burke was so witty he would actually use the ancient greek word eu, to say Kyle doesn't know geography well? Sheer brilliance!

Yes, but you think about it every day. Because it's what almost everyone talks about.
Andy on the other hand is going by his own judgment. What he knows he taught himself.
At work its the first thing we do talk about the Football from the night before, we can talk for hours.

That's an assumption.

I had several Dutch coaches when I played in Europe.
You turned pro?

Indeed. So you talk about it for hours, you think about it for hours. Andy's got his mentally challenged friend and a couple of other social outcasts he can talk to about the game.

Oh? You did have heated discussions about football when you were 12 then?
Probably. I played since I was five and fell in love with watching the game in 1994.

If we don't have the capacity to understand the game as Americans, why even discuss it with us? It would make more sense to leave us be and discuss the sport with your omnipotent European friends.

Whats the difference between that and me talking with work colleagues. Burke and Andy know a fair bit about football.

Because you have all of society to talk to. The chances of you meeting someone who knows more about football than you do are 1/2. The chances of Andy doing the same are 1 in a million.
