So much stupid nonsense in this thread.

All in all, quite dissapointing but same time expected half. Way too little movement, too many touches on the ball instead of going quickly for the attacking plays. Wouldnt blame the creativity even if its an issue, as much as ALL of them are generally just watching the ball with their back to the goal, plus they clearly should challenge more on 1-1, they are clearly better and able to do so.

There was one really good attack which they should continue on, when Marchisio dribbled on the left, and passed in quickly to Gila, who flicked it to De Rossi. Simple stuff, but basically what they need to do more, take on players and quickly pass onto players moving into spaces.

They need to sub in Di Natale and Camo, players who take on defenders. Its not a good sign when Zambrotta (the best player) is doing most of the dribbling.

Good substitutions, but why do they start on the bench to begin with? 2nd time they come on, fairly early (though not this early last time).

It was a clear offside. A NZ player fouled an Italian and his header reached to Smeltz who tapped the ball in while being in offside.
And Italy's penalty was almost a gift so fair standing at the mo'.

from the US game :D
They even brought up why there can't be replays like in other American sports. It's like "welcome to the most loved sport in the world...you're only 120 years late" :D :sergio:
