You could try to look at a game objectively you know. Ghana's best chances came after the penalty, which was very unlucky. Or do you really consider that header against the post a good opportunity?

Zigic should have burried it and no one would be talking about Ghana now. No, Ghana was very lucky, especially because it wasn't a "forced" penalty either. It was sheer luck.

Also, it's not because you're down to 10 men that you deserve to lose. Where the hell does that come from?
Nonsense, they had chances before the game they were just mm from the goal. The only memorable chance Serbia had was that strike right at the keeper.

Of course I'm not saying that being a man down means you deserve to lose but it puts you on the back foot and you have to show you can cope with it, which I don't think they did convincingly.

In any case, I think both sides played bad but Ghana wasn't undeserving of a victory.

Btw, What header against the post? That was a shot not a header.

Lahm is the youngesst captain the German NT has ever had.
He also looks like a bitch :p

I wouldn't ever use the word mediocre about the German team...unknown would be apt for this current German team, but they have certainly put that to rest...then again it was Australia, let's what they show us against Serbia.

they were beyond their best IMO, never ever seen them play such fluid and attacking football.
the really slow and apathic australians did just play into the germans hands ...

as already said özil and co are pretty fast so there was not even much skill needed to break the australians defense ... they just needed to play it into the space behind the defense and they had an automatic goalscoring opportunity because the german players were just way faster than these slow defenders of australia. it is really not skillfull if the athletic difference between the two teams is that big.

on top of that australias player played as if they never played football together ...

every pass was either not even going towards a teammate or if it was it was either to fast or most of the time to slow or into the back of the already running teammate so he had to awkwardly stop, try to turn 180 degrees to reach the ball that was totally misplayed .. none of the australias players knew where the other was going to run to and so they needed long time to control the ball ... watch the other teammates to see what they do next and how they run and then get dispossesed because it took to long for the team mates to make a run or the ball holding player to find another player to play the ball to..

:agree:

The Germans were at their ruthless best.

I hope to see the big occasion bringing the best out of Italy tomorrow as well.
The German's weren't that ruthless.

If they were being ruthless, they would have scored about eight instead of missing heaps of chances.
