No, really, I'd like an answer. Klose, Podolski, Boateng, Quincy.. they're all traitors? But then again.. had they chosen the other country instead, they would have been traitors too.. right? What's more important to you, Andy, ius soli or ius sanguinis?

And what about a guy who doesn't have let's say the American nationality, but has lived there all his life. He's now 25. His parents are both Indian and he was born in India, but they moved to the States when he was 1 year old. Can he support the USA? He probably can't right? He should support.. well.. India? Although.. He's never been there.. wait.. I don't think this is simple at all.
Again, you're being a moron.

Nationality is a very simple issue, Andries. You either are, or you aren't.

That's the bottom line. Rossi can certainly play for Italy because he does. But he's still a traitor to US Soccer, and I don't care what you have to say about that, so don't bother responding.

No. It is not "a very simple issue". It's one of the most complex legal matters there are.

Take Belgium for example, Andy. Let's say we split the country in half (which seems ever more likely). Now I'm Flemish.

But the French speaking part play the World Cup final (unlikely, but still). Can I want them to win? Or is this forbidden? Some time ago we were of the same nationality you know..

If you have nationality, yes.
