Ribery looked more dangerous when playing behind closer to the striker. That's how they should use him. Malouda and the fullbacks for the width instead.

Diaby - Gourcuff - Toulalan
Ribery - Anelka --- Malouda

No Zidane to save them now.

This France team has fantastic individuals But my God they suck as a team. Raymond Domenech is a joke of a coach, the sooner Laurent Blanc comes in the better.
They don't have fantastic individuals. They're very solid and there's Ribery and Anelka, but only Anelka really impressed this season and I have yet to see him play a decent game for France.

Argentina today! Can't wait. God, it would be very very amusing to see them win it all. No tactics or anything, just plain old fun. Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Milito, Higuain... play them all!

It's not that bad, actually. Makes you study more efficiently. Although if I'm not ready and there's a very big game coming up, I'd rather fail the exam. Think about it: you can make up for a failed exam in June, there's always September. But if you miss an epic World Cup battle that people will talk about for years, there's no way you can ever get that experience back.

France played exactly like i expected them to, and exactly like they've been playing ever since August 2006, no direction, no game plan, no team cohesiveness, no purpose, no tactics. Just a group of players wearing the same color of shirts. Domenech is a horrible manager and it shows.

2006 was Zidane single handedly carrying the team, now there are a bunch of really good players, but none of them are able to do anything under Domenech. Gourcuff especially was absolutely atrocious yesterday.
