I went nuts when he scored that goal.

I also heard back then how a 7 year old from Antwerp swore how he'll get his revenge one day on the Arab world. :D

USA win SA2010 bonus race

The USA's record $20m bonus pot outstrips those of their more illustrious rivals - including England, Spain and Brazil

In fact, their ground-breaking agreement could see Bob Bradley's men potentially earn more for finishing second than five-times World Champions Brazil would take home for bringing back the title itself.

Players of all nations will clearly be playing for more than just their pride at this summer's event, with an enormous SA2010 prize fund on offer at every stage of the competition.

And for those players who missed the cut for each country's final 23-man squad, it would appear that their bank accounts could be more seriously affected than their summer holiday plans.

Above all else, a grand prize of $31 million (£21.4m) is up for grabs for whichever nation lifts the trophy in Johannesburg on July 11, meaning players will receive more than enough incentive to do well.

But it is not just success that will bring reward, with Fifa paying out at least $8 million (£5.5m) to each of the 32 competing federations - just for taking part.

Additional sums will also be distributed as teams progress through each stage of the competition, although the exact breakdown of any prize money, in the form of individual bonus payments, is left up to each individual nation to decide.

Team USA appear to have been particularly generous in their agreement with Bob Bradley's squad, allocating an estimated 64% of their winnings directly to their players, should they win outright.

That equates to a huge $895,000 (£617,332) bonus per man, not to mention the equally life-changing factor of being a World Champion.

Other more fancied sides, such as Spain or Brazil, are rumoured be pocketing a "mere" £500,000 and £250,000 per man respectively, while the Germany squad could take home as little as £215,000 each if they run out winners.

England's chosen 23 have kept the nature of their bonus deal a closely guarded secret, but the FA's agreement is reported to be in the region of £400,000 to £500,000 - which, if they return with the trophy, most England fans will feel is money well spent!
