I was not around the last World Cup.

To be fair though watching Zidane was a joy so atleast you had something to look forward too because there is not one Spanish player that is anywhere near Zidane. Atleast the Germany-Italy semi final was entertaining not like this drab I witnessed today.
Sure, I loved watching Zizou as well. But France wasn't a great team. I'd say they got lucky to get past Brazil in the quarters.

In 2006, the majority of the knockout matches were 1-0 finishes. France were masters at the 1-0 scoreline. Spain has done the same this time around, but they are receiving more heat than France in 2006. I'd ask the question why, but it's very obvious why.

Holland won't play the final against the hosts this time. They must win then :agree:

Aaron, I preferred the way Germans played throughout the tournament.
I wanted Germany to win as well, I felt their consistency should finally be rewarded.

If my consolation is a final between Spain and Holland I'll take, that's just too rich!:D

:agree:

But this happens almost every year, just look at Argentina in 2006.
Germany and Holland have switched places at this year's tournament.

Holland have played quite cautious football and been low-key and unconvincing in a lot of games, but made the final.

Germany have played some great, fast, attacking football, but fallen short.

You know why they are but I can assure you those views are not my own.

That's because many people here actually liked one of the teams in that final(fanboys as you'd call them). This time, there are a couple of Dutch fans(Ken and Martin) and maybe a few Spanish fans. I'm sure that if this was a Barca forum, people here would be creaming their pants at the Final 2 teams.
Certainly.

And I don't know of any Spain supporters here.

Del busque' sunsituations were hillarious, Torres for Villa... And Silva for Pedro! Pedro should have taken off the pitch earlier since he did nothing special, and Villa could have played till the end. They got to their purpose though. But Spain could beat Germans' ass with more than 1 goal, at least scoring 2 goals were fuckin' easy for bullfighters...

Germans were completely scared, nervous and disturbed. They weren't themselves IMO.

I think both Spain and Holland deserve to be in final. I mean, now that they are in final, they must have deserved it. Holland beat Brazil, everyone's favorites to win the World Cup, and Spain beat the best team of the tournament.

The final was yes. However Zidane was a joy to watch all the tournament same with Cannavaro. SPain and Holland have scraped through games neither with an outstanding player in their ranks. Granted Sneijder and Villa have both scored goals but neither have been as to watch.

Brazil vs Germany would of been the best final this year.
I didn't get to see France until the final. They were always playing when I worked.

This final had better at least be entertaining.
I guarantee it.
