When it comes down to it, he's performed very well in big games. Don't think I'll forget the CL final against United when he completely bossed Evra and whoever else was anonymous that night.
He was rather poor when he first started playing for Barcelona though. It took him years to reach his current level. But right now he's absolutely brilliant.
Indeed, but he's been consistently good ever since he was moved to the center. Certainly a top five stopper in the world.

Btw, Arsene Wenger has been saying that Spain will win the WC from the start in Al-Jazeera, after each game they play poorly and the reporter asks him, do you still think they're good enough, after every game he has the same answer: They will you'll see.

Looks like he might be right.

Hopefully not though. HUP ORANJE!!!

I dont care but Holland and Spain have not been impressive this tournament and it will be a poor final.
I guess the same could be said about the 2006 Final. Anyone who doesn't support either team would say that. But I really don't think I can watch this Final.
I was hoping at least one of Germany or Uruguay would make the final so I would have a team to support.

But fuck this final, I wish both teams could lose.
+1

The only consolation is that we'll have a new winner.

The Dutch deserve it less IMO. Sneijder has been the luckiest bastard ever in a World Cup, how many deflected goals/goalkeeping errors can help you score? And besides.. I don't really remember a game Holland truly deserved to win after the group stages. Slovakia I guess.

I have no support for either, however the ref made a crucial error in not sending Ramos off for being the last man it would of changed the game completly. Germany got lucky against us but they still scored another 2 so the call hardly mattered. However Spain have always had calls in their favour. Paraguay were robbed with the goal and the penalty should of been retaken and now Ramos not even getting sent off for a nailed on foul.

I dont care but Holland and Spain have not been impressive this tournament and it will be a poor final.

To be honest, the Spain - Paraguay game was full of officiating errors against both sides, the penalty for Spain should have had a red card for the defender, and Cesc had a penalty not given to him.

Though they beat Portugal by an offside goal, there they did benefit from an officiating error.

All in all, its been a poor world cup with absolutely horrid refereeing.
