I didn't see the De Rossi - New Zealand incident and i do think Torres is one of those players that i would classify as a diver, yet i am still not convinced that he dived in that incident.
I am, I have reviewed that a dozen times and everytime all I see is Torres throwing himself to the ground in an overly dramatic fashion. Even if there had been slight contact his writhing around on the ground afterward was very distasteful.
Yet for some reason others claim to see contact. I'm sure if Torres was an Italian player he would never even get the benefit of the doubt.
Yea from what I've seen there isn't much correlation between diving and certain nationalities. Some players are divers and injury fakers while some aren't regardless of their nationality.
