Guys...

This incident just forced us to remember that Zidane never was that elegant player...

1998 The first round World Cup match against Saudi Arabia saw Zidane's worst side come out as he stamped on Saudi captain Fuad Amin in the 70th minute and was immediately sent-off. He returned from a two match suspension and ultimately redeemed himself with two goals in the 3-0 win in the final over Brazil.

2000 Zidane had already been sent off for Juventus in the Champions League against Deportivo La Coruna in September but it was against Hamburg in October that he really saw red. He received his second successive red card of that competition when he head butted Jochen Kientz while they fought on the ground. He received a five match ban for that indiscretion.

So, no justification for the man...

He had great skills and nobody can argue about that, but we can't deny also that some cables in his head are turning on and off all the time during his matches...
Change that word,Zizou has always been a classy & elegant player,he did so much for Juve as well.If Zizou is not elegant, than i dont know what it makes Totti.

what joy and emotions! from the moment i watched the 94 world cup at age of six years old wen i went into my parents room and prayed for italy to win the penalities and they failed hav i felt pain and dispair since and world cup afta wc but in 2006 all is taken away and great joy comes to table!
Zidane deserved red full stop, but gee did italy play some ugly football afta half time! yuck i was dispointed france destroyed us with everything afta half time! we where so poor except for the 2 special men Canna , buffon, also special mention pirlo was unbelievble in first half! Italy where lucky in seond half but the french where lucky in the first to have a cheap penalty there way so it evened out a bit but bit of luck is wat u need to b wc champs and for all the bad luck over the years it had to come around our way one day and it did! i thought france played some very nice football, But wen the time came to keep there cool this time it was the italians who reined surpreme and brang the trophy home to italy! Bravo it was our time no doubt about it! and a great way to send off our legends of italian football del piero and totti walk away with the wc medal! both didnt really have any impact in game but played there part!

Totti was so pathetic it wasent funny! But thank god we won! wat a nite ! Pirlo unbeleivble Materazzi done his job well and scored wat else could u want!

than i dont know what it makes Totti. what it makes Totti.
that's true, but it's hardly hard to pass totti there ;)

I think it only proves us to appreciate true class, and I don't know who besides Del Piero possess it TBH, among the world's most famous that is.

i wonder why lippi prefered iaquinta over gilardino?
because Iaquinta didnt come in as a real striker,he was most of the tim a right wing as Camo swu=itched to the left & Gilardina is not the right man to play a winger !Lippi also got iaquinta against germany as a right winger,he hdoesnt have a lot of soolutions in the wing so he was creating new positions for players! Forza Lippi!

I thought Iaquinta was also brought in for the penalties, but he didn't take one of the 5.
yeah it was real strange that matrix & de rossiplayed & neither toni nor iaquinta played penalties.Amuwau Matrix wasa master of free kicks in perugia as I remember he scored a lot from penalties & free kicks.Anyway Lipii knew better & it seems like he did all the right choices in the END!

only good thing in the relegation stuff is that all Juve fans around the world had convinced themselves that we are 100% relegated so it wont be a choc but if they let us in serie a it will be a huge surprise!

Zidane wins Golden Ball Monday 10 July, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

France’s Zinedine Zidane has been named as the winner of the FIFA Golden Ball – even after his dismissal in the World Cup Final.

The Frenchman, sent-off last night for assaulting Marco Materazzi in the penalty shoot-out loss to the Azzurri, pipped Fabio Cannavaro and Andrea Pirlo to the prize as the Player of the Tournament.

Zidane netted 2,012 votes from jurors, Azzurri captain Cannavaro grabbed 1,977 and the Milan midfielder got 715.
