They will go into the match as favourites having eliminated Spain, Brazil and Portugal. Thats good IMO coz I didnt want the media to hype our Germany performance and put additional pressure on us
It is a must that Rhino ensure that Zizou doesnt do any antics. Its all set up for him as a retirement match...... Its a bit worrying that he also claims to have a dream that called him out of retirement

This is going to be really difficult..... France are well equiped in many departments
- speed, quality and physical strength. It's gonna take an effort 4 sure

I have bad vibes for this match, im already preparing for the worst, call me a pessimist but you cant get any jammier than a french jam, and thats what ive seen throughout the world cup from them.... i guess we really will need a perfomance of our lives, if germany was asking this wont be far off. I really hope we win it, its been fully deserved and if worse comes to worse ill rather take the french to penalties.. Forza Azzurri.

If Italy lose in the final I really don't know what I'll do. We've come too far to not win the whole thing.

Italy has to win, Italy will win. For the love of God, win. I'll even consider giving up my principles and telling Tifoso Lou he's right in being so damn catholic and asking for certain favours from little children.

If France wins, they will be one of the gimpiest WC winners I've seen in a while. Italy has to ride this wave and serve justice! :agree:

    ..

The question is that will Lippi start with De Rossi now that he's back, or stick with Perrotta and Gattuso, along with Pirlo?

I hope Totti will be dropped. He's been crap since the touney has started. People are not seeing this because Italy is winning..

italy deservs it more. zidane already has a wc title and euro title, and i really dont care if his gona quit and should win it because of that just. italy has lot lot more players who deserv to get that trophy. some of the french players already have wc trophy and euro trophy, while italian players have nothing.

I'm scared to death about this match, I just want it to be over and bring the trophy. I really won't be able to live if Italy (and Del Piero) miss out on this one. I really won't. It's a matter of life and death !

Things to be optimistic about :

Italy has a better coach obviously
Buffon is better than current Barthez

    Things to be scared :

Zidane his final game ... argh
Henry they say he doesn't show up for the biggies, he has a lot to prove... argh
Trezeguet will surely get some minutes, and that just brings back nightmares

I think Lippi should play with the same lineup but if not, then Del Piero instead of Camoranesi (can't drop totti though i agree he's crap ;) ) who had a weak game and seemed tired, and De Rossi instead of Perrotta, that's the only options to change IMO.

also the nesta question is interesting.

personally, it'll be very difficult for me to watch this match, it will be torture while italy is not leading by 2 goal margin :) . I wonder if i can even bear it.
