True but bare in mind that these are professional footballers, they are paid millions for what they do & millions of ppl look to them as role models.Materazzi is a fvckface but still Zizou(as brilliant as he is, is the the wrong)is giving kids the impression, across the world that its ok to react violently towards provocation.
For the person mentioning Beckham, we live in a scapegoat society and thats why crap like that happened. And it was mainly anti Man united anyways. Diego Simone was blamed as was Maradona before him and Ronaldo now. Our failings as a footballl nation is never examined properly, its always scapegoat hunting from Eriksson to Rooney to Ronaldo. It is never we are not really good enough to win world cup as noone to control the midfield and hence control pace of the game.
How many Italians actually villified Totti for spitting and being banned for 3 matches? Did Roma fans condemn him? Instead Poulsen became public enemy number 1 of some sorts
