One word mate, Rosicky.
You mean Mr. Inconsistent. Because he played so good against the US it means there is a 90% chance he will play rubbish against Ghana and Italy. Don't forget he had the grand total of 2 assists in a season in 2003/2004.

Why are you bringing stats from a season ago? All that matters is right now. And at the moment Rosicky is The Man.

He was playing for a team called Borussia Dortmund, a team which is hardly suited for a profesional to play at his utmost ability. Rosicky is a world class talent and in professional enviornment he will flourish. His performances for the Czech Republic illustrate that.

bugger....I was hoping for Italy and the US to advance, but unless the US wins and the czechs lose to Ghana we are screwed :( not exactly surprising however

The Czechs probably have the most top form team of Europe, and they have even corrected that big bad flaw in their playing style that got them out of Euro '04.

Italy I think are one of the firm candidates for the big final, too.

And most importantly either of them can send Fataldo and his Brazilean pals back home.

Czechs will have a very tough game against Ghana as imo they r the best african side in the WC. Losing koller is a big blow, but the midfield is such a class whether they can cope with the physicallity of an african team? i dont know.

The Azzuri will not have an easy game, but if they play their top game then the US should not be very hard. So complacency is a big factor in this game.
Will be interesting to see how zambro plays and if Totti,Gila step up theur respective games.
