A report in the London Daily Mail says:-

Wayne Bridge has been offered the chance to resurrect his career under Claudio Ranieri after Juventus made an official approach for the Chelsea left back.

Ranieri, who signed Bridge from Southampton when he was Chelsea manager, contacted Stamford Bridge chief executive Peter Kenyon last week.

Liverpool, West Ham and Tottenham have a long-standing interest in the England defender but Chelsea have yet to indicate whether they will let the 27-year-old go.

Bridge will join the England squad next week and will pick the brains of head coach Fabio Capello, who was coach of Juventus between 2004-06, before he makes a decision.

Bridge is not expected to make the bench for tomorrow's Champions League Final against Manchester United and is convinced his future lies elsewhere.

Not exactly what I was hoping for in the back 4. I'm a Zapata or Vargas man when we look to strengthen the defense.

It would be a Bridge too far.
:D

I think Bridge is a very good player. Solid defensively and has a nice left foot.

My main concern would be whether he could adapt to Serie A.

Guess we'll have to trust Ranieri on this one and his judgement of a player.

yeah just like the match Siena Vs Juve. Del Piero and Trezeguet were crap in it. Perhaps we should get rid of them?

My only trouble is that he hasn't played too much for Chelsea and I doubt both Mourinho and Grant who see both players week in week out would choose Ashley if Wayne was better. Just get Vargas here fast, doubt he'll be that much more expensive than Bridge anyways.
