Was Juve's relegation fair?

  • We were lucky not to be relegated to Serie C or lower

  • It was so fair

  • We deserved to stay in Serie A with points deducted

  • No, it was a conspiracy

  • I don't know

JCK, its not about agreeing with me. It's about not giving the evidence a chance. That's what pisses me off. Read it. If you are not convinced say so. But when I'm told "I'll never read it...you're gay" naturally I'm going to doubt loyalty. I'm going to get upset. A normal fan says "let me see it". Then they judge for themselves.

what would you call it if you were found not guilty and convicted anyway, while evidence shows others were actually guilty and walked away?

Fantastic stuff gsol. Keep it up. Just ignore whoever trashes u. At least u provide proof to your claims., something your critics cannot.

forgive the bayern guy. he came on to me and I rejected him. he's been negative ever since
I was wondering this :

Lets accept that everything you said is true (i'm convinced that most of it is true, btw). The big-heads that planned everything will hardly allow the world to find out about what they did to Juve. They are still very powerful, with a lot of connections everywhere in Europe.
How do you rate the chances Juve to win this battle ? How do you rate the chances Juve to get back at least a part of what was lost due to calciopoli ?

And the hardest, although not the most important task : Can we somehow make the world change the opinion of us being cheaters who 100% deserved what we got ?

All the guy has done is post facts. Why do people struggle so much to understand the word? The facts are there for all to see & gsol is merely translating them for the non-Italian speakers on here, to help them understand the level of deception against Juve during Calciopoli. Please guys, give him a break, I'd hate to see him stop posting, I know a number of people rely on his translations to understand whats going on.

Twenty years ago my response would have been "impossible" when asked what Juve's odds are of overturning the verdicts given who holds the cards in Itlay. You have to understand two important things though.

Times have changed and the internet has allowed us all to see what happened. If this happened in 1986 instead of 2006 only the lawyers would have seen the sentences. Thanks to technology word got around (and I'd say rather quickly) about the inconsistencies of the trial.

Second thing to consider is that the appeal (thanks to Italy's membership in the European Union) is being carried out (intentionally) outside of Italy where the corrupt will have less chance to pull their weight. Furthermore by appealing in a court of commerce as opposed to a sports tribunal, they have further detached the powers of Italian soccer from the trial.

Now I'd say the odds are actually good. I'd argue even in our favour.

As far as shaking the reputation of the world's biggest cheaters...good luck. The press has established a predetermined idea in most people's heads and is continuing to do so in the post calciopoli era (see article http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=440820 for examples). Unless these papers (Gazzetta and Corriere) are dismantled and the TV in Italy is modified to include stations other than those run by the Berlusconi owned Mediaset, I'd say that those who want to believe Juve's success can be attributed to cheating will continue to hear/read what they want.

It's up to us to show objectivity.

BTW thanks JuveAdam
