i have mixed emotions about shitsoko.

he pretty much sucks now but we are juve. we don't buy stars. we make'em.
although my mouth s screaming no to shitsoko, something just tells me we'll be able to improve him and make him back to sissoko, and not shitsoko, of cos, with better passing & stuff...
but then again. the things he said about juve made me hate him.

Was 2007 the worst mercato? Nope, but if Mellberg and Sissoko are looked at as world class additions to push Juve over the top and clinch 2nd place and a group stage CL spot... Winter 2008 will be the worst mercato.

i can't see any of our new players worth the Juve shirt, only players bought in moggi era are performing u can see the obvious difference. hell even moggi flops, leggro, are performing up to the level

The exceptions to me, would be Iaquinta and Nocerino. Though, Noce was Juve property, I'll give Secco credit for not screwing that up.

secco is an idot. If this fool continues to do our business then 2007's transfers will be the best that we can hope for as long as the idiot is representing us

Extension of the contracts of Buffon, Del Piero, Camoranesi, Trezeguet, Nedved , Chiellini and even Legrotallie. It can't be a bad mercato.
That doesn't count as mercato, extending contracts is an administrative thing and not a transfer strategy.

As far as I am concrened in the last 10 years Juventus have not done that well in the transfer window.

We have possibly done what I would consider great biz 3 times or so

96/97 when we brought in Zidane, Boksic, Padovano, Vieri, Amoruso, Montero okay we brought in Pecchia as well but it was great

97/98 was terrible as we sold jugovic boksic and vieri to bring in Inzaghi and Fonseca cos management felt vieri and boksic did not score enuff goals and inzaghi got 24 for Atalanta

I was disgusted cos that season that we had boksic, vieri, amoruso, dp, deschamps, jugovic etc we were the best in the world in terms of quality and quantity.

The next season when we sold those guys if not for the acquisition of Davids in january, our season would have gone so flat, Inzaghi was a very good buy but Fonseca, hmmm

The Ancellotti era was marred by bad buys and he was not helped at all by the board Blanchard anyone? Players like fabien Oneill, Ronnie O,Brien we got from middlesboro, jailbird Pericard, Mirkovic etc

The next good mercato season was getting nedved, Thuram and Buffon after Ancelotti left but losing Inzaghi and especially Zidane did not amuse me

The next season we decided to get baiocco and some other strange buys saving grace in that period was Camoranesi

The next good 1 was when Capello came in with Zlatan, Cannavaro and Emerson

It may look like we always did great business in mercato summer but thats not the case at all

This 1 was understandable well at least to me but it was bad as well

I dont think it was a good mercato but i didn't expect much. It is obvious that secco lacks experience in transfers and unless we get a proper transfer vetrain i do not see good signings this coming summer.

We paid the price for secco copremising the transfers by focusing on quantity rather than quality.

by being immature our management only looks to the, likes of huntalaar, VDV or deigo who are great players but the hype around them along with competition with the likes of chelsea and madrid will insure that wont get them unless we overpay which is ridiculous.

Sissoco.... why sign him when we can get marchesio back

..

Sending Criscito back on loan after purchasing the remaining half of his contract for around 5m pounds is enough to judge the stupidity of this management.

And now the board wants to ship out the rejects (Boumshakalaka, Almiron, Tiago) out on a freaking LOAN deals, hoping they would make it permenant moves in 6 month time. Most probably all of them will come back in the summer because that team that are interested now only want to take advantage of the situation. Perfect example, Crespo, though his problem was not liking england and wanted only to go back to Italy, and Inter and Milan took advantage.

Anyone who thinks this was a good mercato season needs to be bitchslapped.

Now that we have loaned Criscito and relased Boum with Legro the only fit CD we have I suggest allowing the 53 memebers who voted with NO to change their pick;)
