Marco been pissing himself trying to score goals eh?

:D
either that or he's been putting it in wrong places... :wth: (they could have told us that he had an "infection" .. they didn't have to get specific)

Well Di Natale is the least promising of the the four. DP, according to what Trap has previously said, is a starter and between Miccoli and Cassano its a close tie. But Miccoli doesnt play on the left, he plays on the right.

Heres the attack i think Italy should take:

Dp, Totti, Vieri (must takes)

Cassano, Miccoli, Inzaghi,

I know thats 6, but DP, Miccoli and Totti can count as Midfielders in the Azzurri line-up.

actually, i think Miccoli plays on the left side like DP. He's only moved to the right since he joined juve to have him play with DP. (of course that didn't work)

Totti doesn't count as an attacker... so you still got 5 attackers :)

anyhow, i agree with your choices. though i know Trap really thinks highly of Corradi, so he'll take him instead of Miccoli or Cassano.

I would say that it was not just pure luck... He took everyone by surprise and he deserve his credit for that.

BTW...just minutes later he tried to score another olimpic goal , but this time the defender learned the lesson and stopped the ball in the last moment.

so it was not just luck

well come on u cant deny that he has a good aim and he was aiming somewhat to someone really close to that end and how was it possible go like that when there was if im not mistaken a close azzurri player insight..

Based on today's performance, I think Miccoli should get called up instead of Di Vaio.

I can see this being our squad for Euro:

GKs (3)
Buffon
Toldo
Pelizzoli

DEFENDERS (8)
Panucci
Cannavaro
Nesta
Adani
Ferrari
Zambrotta
Oddo
Pancaro

MIDFIELDERS (6)
Camoranesi
Fiore
Pirlo
Gattuso
Perrotta
Zanetti

FORWARDS (6)
Totti
Del Piero
Cassano
Miccoli
Vieri
Inzaghi
Nervo

I see this as our general line-up:

--------------------Buffon------------------
--------------------(Toldo)-----------------
-------------------(Pelizzoli)---------------

Panucci----Canna----Nesta----Zambro
(Oddo)---(Ferrari)--(Adani)--(Pancaro)

------------Pirlo--------Gattuso-----------
---------(Perrota)-----(Zanetti)----------

-Camoranesi------Totti-----Cassano---
----(Fiore)-------(Miccoli)----(Del Piero)--

----------------------Vieri-------------------
-------------------(Inzaghi)----------------

Not a bad team hey?

Any team that has Pirlo, Fiore, Totti, Cassano and Vieri in the first 11 would scre the hell out of any opponent. Especially when you have Inzaghi, Miccoli and Del Piero on the bench.

If Maldini returns, I would take him instead of Adani.

I am a little surprised that Trap played with Nervo instead of Miccoli in the first half when Di Vaio was ruled out of the game. He reverted back to a 4-4-2 again.

delpiero is better than cassano any day.....

BTW miccoli said:
Fabrizio Miccoli insists that his first international goal, scored against Portugal last night, was no fluke.

The Juventus star netted directly from a corner kick to give the Azzurri a very respectable 2-1 win at Braga.

"I was looking to score," he maintains. "I learnt it from Roberto Baggio who once scored past Lecce like that a few years ago.

"I’m absolutely delighted to have got on the scoresheet and I’m finding it hard to describe exactly what I am feeling."

Miccoli, who impressed after coming on as a second half substitute, also used the strike to hit back at his critics.

"I dedicate this goal to my daughter but also to those people who have been writing that I will leave Juventus this summer," he added.

Hell yeah that was a wicked goal by MICCOLI:cheesy:!
Also notably good performance's from

FERRARI
FAVALLI
CAMORANESI
MICCOLI

Below Par performances from

GATTUSO
PIRLO
TOTTI(Didn't look like he wanted to play)
PANUCCI(Don't think he's ever had a good game for the Azzurri, he was ripped apart by Simao)

the rest were average performers!

This is why I love Italy and all the teams that face them dont. You can have all the ball, shots on goal and still end up losing.

2 great sneaky goals. Miccoli made a good impact as sub and Camo too. We all know Camo in 90mins is in & out but as a sub hes sharp and shoudve been awarded a pen
