Have you seen what happens when Bonucci gets sucked out wide? He gets owned. I would never play him on the side of a three-man defense, it would be a disaster.

Zaccardo makes more sense for that role, as horrible as it sounds.

Don't agree. For that RCB role in the 3-5-2 you need to be mobile and have good tackling skills. You also have to read the game well. Look at Grava for Napoli, he runs his ass off and can tackle hard. Bones isn't that sort of player and Mazzarri knows that.

Oh yeah, and in this system I think we would see Marchisio playing another position, the wingbacks. I always thought he has some qualities of a FB, so I think he could be quite nice as a WB.

Let's hope he is flexible and willing to adopt a 4-4-2, 4-3-3, or 4-3-2-1 formation.

I see 3-5-2 being a massive failure with the players we have; it would cost us too much to build a quality team capable of playing that formation.

He's not, he always reverts back to 3-5-2. Even with Samp the 4-4-2 he switched to failed, as Badass said.

Anything other than that and Mazzarri becomes as useful as a beached whale.
