Laugh about Mohammed???? What the fuck are you talking about? You've clearly got the wrong poster.
It was an example. I don't know if you heard about the riot we had about Danish sarcasm towards Muhammad. My point is that people care about different things. "Respect" is such a meaningless word these days. Instead of bitching about the fact I don't care about the murders, you might want to start realising that I'm the one complaing about police inadequacy and I'm the one asking for answers. Mourning isn't going to do anything.

Just saying.. Who cares about the Iraqi citizens? Hell, you might drop an A-bomb there for all you care. But whenever a couple of Americans get killed, and this time obviously because of American incompetence, the entire world has to mourn. Well, I refuse to do so. Fuck them I say.
Right now, I will pay you one million euros if you can show me where anybody (anybody, including your own mother) asked you to mourn for any Va Tech victims.

I care about the Iraqis. But I think it is you, Seven, who doesn't understand the human emotional mechanism, just how those things work. To reach out and empathize with someone you have to get a glimpse of their reality. When we read "157 killed" that is just a statistic (indirectly quoting Stalin) but when you get to see the pain.. When you get to see the tears of a mother .. When you get to hear the despair of young children and see the look in their eyes, then, oh believe you me, I weep for them! And there are many like me.

You always want to provoke, Seven, and you always, with your Donnie-Darko wannabe-personality, think you have it all figured out. But why the f*ck do you have to provoke in a thread such as this?? I think you should be ashamed of yourself. I know it's a forum and one is allowed to express one's opinions but geez...
You couldn't care less about the Iraqis. FFS, you don't know them. It's a statistic to you. And quite frankly, those 30 odd victims are a statistic to me as well. Because if you do want to quote Stalin, he said "one" was a tragedy.

I don't get to see the pain no, I don't get to see the tears of the mother. But quite frankly, what good is it going to do? You have morons screaming for more guns and you have a presidential candidate trying to make it seem as if he's a good hunter, because otherwise he's in some deep shit. If you can't see that's what sickening, and not my complete lack of empathy towards people I don't know, there truly is something wrong with you.

Come on, Pado, you know just as well as I do that that's the underlying intention of this thread.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

In knowing they are human, and, as a human being, I consider them, like all people, my brethren. And one other thing, don't ever tell me what I feel!

fucking 7 out of over 5.1 million people, taking into consideration the multiculturalism in this city and the grudges that some of the people living here have against people of a specific minority whereas the south its basically all white rednecks

Oh, I didn't realise you were a chick. Fine, which Iraqi exactly is it you care about? And are you devastated or more something like "it would have been nicer if it didn't happen"? Because I agree with that last feeling as well. But really, claiming you really, really care is just plain bullshit.

What kind of a response is that? Fine with me, it makes me take you even less serious.

I'm telling you that I care. I can't suck in the pain of the world all at once, but show me glimpses and I will reach out. If you have a problem with that, if it confuses you and if you don't understand what I'm talking about I just feel sorry for you.

Seven, you know I like you, but when you talk like this you really do seem like a juvenile jackass that knows nothing about the world, Nothing about human emotion, and have no clue that most people are not like you. Jem83 speaks the truth, but you can't hear it. Out of respect for Martin, who abhors the hate on this, his creation, I'm going to back off here.

You gave me an alternative, emotional response lacking any argument whatsoever. You know, if you really care, saying you care isn't enough. If you tell me you've been actually working against poverty or have been trying to help war victims over the past few years, I'll respect you.

I disagree, Pado. People get emotional when it's about things like these and it's quite simply a stupid reaction. You might think that I'm being a jackass, but which reaction you think is going to pay in the end: "RIP" or "You might want to change your gun laws"? Emotion has got nothing to do with issues like this.

I am a member of Norsk Folkehjelp (an organization for aid) and currently participating in setting up a new branch at my University. I study a lot and there's only so much I can do, but I plan on doing much more in the future. It's not a lot but we all have to start somewhere.

And I'm not doing stuff like this to gain respect, but it is nice to be appreciated.

Who said it's either this or that?

I mourn, I say RIP, does it mean I don't want the USA to change their gunlaws?

Okay, if you're actually doing something (and I'm not talking about donating here), then you might be one of the few that do care. My bad in that case. However, please do realise that 99% of the people don't care. And you know what? They care a hell of a lot less than I do.

Why even try to reason with Seven? Afterall, he has shown several times on this forum he's a heartless bastard who think he's superior to all.

I can certainly see a comparison between Cho Sueng Hui and Andries Gobert, it's just that the latter hasn't killed anybody yet.

Not really, and even so if it was to "mourn Americans" as you put it, we had threads about Lebanon, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and others that will/has triggered mourning.

The difference between the two of us is that I will never kill 30 people. And you want to know why? Because I don't live in America.

If the true intention of this thread was debating gun control, my anger towards the USA would have been considered a good thing.
