The Bianconeri kept their Viareggio Cup campaign alive by overcoming Vicenza on penalties in yesterday’s last-sixteen encounter. Their reward for beating the Biancorossi is a place in the quarter-finals, to be contested tomorrow against Club Guaranì.
With one day remaining ahead of the clash, Marco Baroni opted to put the Primavera through a light morning’s training. This consisted of a warm-down in the swimming pool for those who featured in yesterday’s game, while the remainder of the group sustained a workout split between the gym and the training field at the team hotel.
Tomorrow will see Baroni’s side look to keep their positive run going and extend their stay in the prestigious youth tournament. The clash with the Paraguayan outfit is set to kick-off at 5.15pm.*
