The 65th edition of the Viareggio Cup gets underway today. Marco Baroni’s team head into the tournament as defending champions after registering the club’s eighth victory in the tournament last year.
Juventus will kick off the competition on Viareggio’s centre-pitch against Slovenian side Maribor. The Bianconeri will then lock horns with Avellino (on Wednesday at Saranza) and then the Australian outfit A.P.I.A Leichhardt (on Friday at Monterotondo).
For the duration of the tournament, the Bianconeri will play with fixed squad numbers. These are the 24 players who will attempt to retain the title this year:
