I'd argue Motta held him back due to rigidity and I will echo my statements from LAST summer that I have hopes he will be THIS YEAR'S (let's run it back) Yildiz in terms of stepping up, taking the next step developmentally, and emerging as a genuine option both rotationally as well as perhaps asserting himself as a regular starter option.

lol tuttosport writers wake up every day and just wing it. Lucky, they get to just make shit up and get paid. “Adzic could either start or come off the bench.“ What insight.

Schira
Igor Tudor was the one who vetoed the departure, even on loan, of young Adzic this summer. There were attempts by Sassuolo, Genoa, Palermo, and Braga for the 19 year old talent!

Tudor continued to repeat to Adzic: “stay here and your chance will come, we’re counting on you”. His assistant Javorcic played a big role as well, representing a sort of midfield tutor for Adzic.

Seems like it’s not just a one time wonder strike, he does have a thunderbolt of a shot, maybe we’ll see more from him.

He's not just a shooter btw; he's probably our best player when it comes to vertical passing and vision. Yildiz can play through balls too, but he brings other qualities. Both of them are fantastic shooters — I don't think that out-of-the-box solution vs inter was a fluke. They'll come out on top in plenty of games like that.

No clue on this guy for me and seeing way OMG stated by some here wih Adzic entering Inter I thought WTF is Tudor doing. Let's hope this guy pans out. Hope to see more regular posts from you here!

Like this post of yours we like no need to go gaga over Golovin after surprising 2018 WC play. LOL value only 20M presently.
i haven't noticed any new talent during this WC. here in italy the media talked a lot about golovin, which seems to me a total average player.
@Alen since you thanked me previously for adding to your US sport knowledge, little more info for you regarding US sports, comparison to Golovin being flavor of the month during 2018 WC, CB* Larry Brown had two interceptions in Dallas 1995 SB* win. Had good year for Dallas and in nation/world spotlight of the big game getting the 2 INT* came away with massive free agent contract with the Raiders. One of the big busts in NFL history. Was out of the league in a few years and wasn't even rated (soccer slang) by NFL teams coming out of college. You're welcome. :hi:

US football glossary
*CB -cornerback
*SB Super Bowl
*INT interception

I think at least one person mentioned in the live thread that Adzic is Next gen level player being brought on by Tudor... wondering if more people agreed with that when we're behind 2-3 hehe

Adzic is also the best set piece taker on the team. Crazy how we went from Pirlo, Dybala and pjanic taking free kicks to whoever we’ve got now…a mentally broken Koopmeiners?

Igor Gluscevic, Adzic's agent

GOAL ALL'INTER- "It's the result of many months of work. A prize for the work done in recent months. He is a boy with so much quality, a huge hunger that helped him stay on fire during the complicated period he lived. He had some injuries that did not allow him to express himself at his best, but he continued to work. Exultation? He will say what he wanted to say. Surely he was full of joy".

TUDOR- "First of all, the goal was to return to training and playing with continuity. Tudor, during the summer, said that the only player who he didn't want to move was Vasilije. It's very important to us, we're talking about a coach who believes in him and understands his qualities".

MARKET BACKGROUND- "Bologna really wanted the boy, but when it came time to decide, his father Jovan asked him what choice he wanted to make. He said 'I want to play with the best: Juventus'. An 18-year-old boy normally can't make minutes so easily with Juventus, he wanted to take this step for his career"

WHAT HE'S WORKING ON - "The shooting outside is a quality that he has as a child, it's one of his weapons. He's working and improving the defensive side a lot. He has a lot of offensive quality, but improving the defensive part will be important to allow him to become a complete player".

I think Vlahovic is the only other one in our squad that scored a few directly from FK’s, but even he’s been far off for quite a while now.

i haven’t seen him play much. What kinda midfielder is he? CM or AM?
After Tudor was hired he played quite a bit of double pivot with next gen. But he’s probably better closer to goal. His defense has improved though, he made some great clearances vs inter, like beating Bonny 1v1 in the air. So I think he should play wherever hes needed the most. He’s earned more minutes. A Thuram Adzic pairing is pretty intriguing.
