Should start vs Dortmund. Doubt chico will be ready to start and zhegrova is out. Openda is still new, no need to throw him in there yet. Adzic has earned this chance

It’s not just the goal, he never misses a pass or a choice. Exquisite player but i don’t see him as a central midfielder especially in a 2-men midfield. in Tudor’s stupid 343 he should play in Yildiz’s position , i would switch to a 4231 to let them play together, Yildiz on the left, him in the middle, Conceicao/Openda/Zeghrova on the right, Openda/David up front.

I'd definitely reward him for that goal. His confidence is probably at an all time high now as well

Let's not change Yildiz' more central position... He's been fantastic; easily our best player.

It's not because Adzic scores one goal that we should switch everything to accomodate him. Not yet at the very least.

It's not about the goal — I loved Adzic before Saturday. Yildiz would play in more or less the same position; when he moves into the middle, e.g., to shoot on goal, Adzic will shift back or to the right. This morning, Jovetic said Adzic is a phenomenon and takes free kicks better than him. Cambiaso said the same last summer during pre-season, without mentioning him directly. Finally, Yildiz is not a #10 but a winger — of course, the opposite kind to, say, Kostic — but creative. He should and will never again play the way Motta made him. Adzic, instead, plays naturally in the middle. They’re almost born to play together behind a CF, with a pacey/high-intensity winger on the right.

Yildiz is not a winger imo but he can do a job there, sure. Still he's misused in that Turkish squad as he was misused last season by that fraud Motta.
Yildiz should be as close to goal as possible. Adzic can play behind him, next to him (both behind the striker) or sit down but I wouldn't move Yildiz one inch. He's rocking it right now.

Lets take it easy, Should Sommer save that shot there would be no talk about him.
He should be a sub until constantly delivering and show he can do it regularly.
For now our starting CMs should be Locatelli and Thuram with Koop first in line to replace Locatelli.
Adzic would get his minutes. If he performs he would get more until proving to be a regular starter

I thought Adzic was making an impact even before he scored. Hes just very good on the ball and sees things others dont. He reminds me of Fagioli in that way, but able to impose himself more physically. Probably gonna have the same debate about what his best position actually is.

Saw this on Twitter who knows if it’s true

Juicy backstory on #Adžić

In December 2023, #Bologna had practically sealed his acquisition, snatching him from the competition of numerous top European clubs.

#Sartori was convinced he had finalized the deal, but with a sudden move #Giuntoli brought him to #Juventus

From that moment on, relations between Juve and Bologna become strained.
The rumors about Thiago Motta in Turin become increasingly insistent. Saputo does everything to retain him, but Giuntoli had already had his handshake deal for months.
The coach reaches Giuntoli (and Adzic) at Continassa

Motta's first request to Giuntoli is Calafiori
Bologna, after two consecutive snubs, is immovable and makes it a matter of principle: Calafiori is not for sale to Juve.
No way about it. Then Euro 2024 arrives, Calafiori explodes, and Arsenal comes in with 50 million.
———

Di Natale also says Barca and City were interested at the time but he wanted Juve. Balkans LOVE Juve so its not that unbelievable.

I think Tudor definitely knows how to deal with him.

He's super promising, even at his current age and progression, so him training with the first team makes sense to me. He could be nearly ready to contribute and Motta will want to determine that, especially knowing that if we played a 4-2-3-1, he can fill both the LW and AM positions possibly. Even if its only in the Coppa.

I have high hopes he can be this year's Yildiz and be a bright spot very quickly for us. That will be for Motta to determine.
I'd argue Motta held him back due to rigidity and I will echo my statements from LAST summer that I have hopes he will be THIS YEAR'S (let's run it back) Yildiz in terms of stepping up, taking the next step developmentally, and emerging as a genuine option both rotationally as well as perhaps asserting himself as a regular starter option.
