I don't know ajax's senior teams. But i do admire ajax youth programme and i think they R the best in the world when it comes to that factor. But the sad thing is that ajax r not as competitive in europe as they used to be...... what happened to them??
I have a season ticket for 4 years now, and its sometimes sad to watch.
Ajax fires to much trainers, the directions sucks. Especially our chairman Jaakke. But they should change it now. Cruyff said he want to change everything, but v. Basten (our new headcoach for season 08/09) don't agree with his vision. I we just haven't got luck. But I am sure next year we will meet you in Europa again. With v. Basten as coach and Cruyff as supervisor whe have 2 big names, who attracked players.

But, Ajax talents:
Senoir squad: Heitinga (you know them), Huntelaar and I like Vermaelen and Stekelenburg to. Vermaelen is a Belgian defender. He have a great heading and is very fast. He is linked to Tottenham several times. Stekelenburg is our goalkeepr and is the succesor of vd Sar. He is a penalty killer. Ajax got 4 against him this season in the competition and he all stopped them!

Youth squad:
Many clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real are watching every week. But Ajax bids all the talents contracts. At his moment Jan-Arie vd Heijden en Siem de Jong are the biggest talents. Vd Heijden is very technical and have a great overview. He havent played much for Ajax jet, but he will come next season. Siem de Jong is a very smart player, with much potentional. But he must be more imperative. Per example: look at his assist for Ajax against Excelsior on Huntelaar: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=HKNFexw5VVs.

A1 (17-18 years):
Daley Blind, son of former Ajaxplayer and -captain Danny Blind. Arsenal wanted to buy him this season. He is a defender or defensive midfielder. But his dad told him to do not. Richard Maciel Sousa Campos also a son of a former Ajax-player; Wamberto is very good. Luckily better then his dad they say:p. He is a winger. And Jordi Schell is very good.

B1 (15-16):
This whole team have al lot of potentional. But especially the youngest brother of Real's Wesley Sneijder; Rodney Sneijder. He is a attacking midfielder.
Geoffrey Castillion is a very very good striker! And Roly Bonevacia have a great future.

He say he does, but thats quitting with another thing. Diffucult to explain. But he will always been v. Basten his supervisor.
V. Basten and Cruyff had a discussion about the youth programme. Cruyff said; oké clear it up yourself, i take my hands off it. But I will always gave you advice. I understand you will do it by yourself, you are gonna keep responsible for what you do.

sorry in advance, I think cruyff was a amazing football player (that's a huge understatement) but he seems very annoying always slagging off barca and the way they should play i respect him but he's had his turn and now he should let others go with out all the pressure of a huge figure in football staring down on you critising your every move

You are totally right. He is annoying and he always knows better. But we dont know how to go further with Ajax. We have to try something. Its sad at the moment. We have the best players, but PSV have got a TEAM and much of luck. I cant see why we missed the CL or the title...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Van der Vaart says he will leave HSV at the end of the season.
He still has a contract for 2 season at the German club, but there is a clause in his contract that says teams can get him for 1.000.000 euro in the summer of 2009 so if HSV wants some decent cash for him, they will have to sell him next summer.

He is linked with a lot of clubs, Juventus, Chelsea and Valencia are the 3 teams that seemed most interested in getting him.
VdV himself says he would prefer a move to the Spanish league, but with Valencia performing so bad, it isn't certain he will choose them over the other teams.
