The board has to know this is one of the most crucial transfer seasons to rebuild. If we add 2 players we will be ok in my opinion. Diegi/VDV and a good left back. He doesnt have to be a star. I dont think were shooting to win the Cl next year we just need to get out of group stages and then add 1 or two players next year and we will be competing again.

It's pointless making the CL if we don't make it past the group stages. Yes, we are not going to win the CL next season, however, we need to show that we have a team which in the future, it can grow and win it.

VDV would be a start to many fixes that are required. I would add Giovinco, Marchisio, Grosso, De Ceglie, Barzagli, a RB and another attacking midfielder such as Hamsik for example.

We need a solid defence for next season and we need to be able to breakdown solid defences in the CL.

That would be great but very unrealistic imho. CL gives us money. Do we get that after or before next year?
it probably does not matter when we get the money because once we are certain to have to money coming ppl and banks would do business with us. all we got to do is get the cl spot and we got money coming.

Or that how i would imagine it would work. i don't know anything for real

but yeah both is totally unrealistic. i kinda feel even one of them is .. the way things have been going with transfers

Qualifying for the CL does not give you enough money to base your transfers around. The only help that the CL gives us with regards to the VDV and Diego transfers are the assurances of european football to te concerned players, not a financial jackpot.

The CL do contribute to the financial rather significantly IMO.

Leeds Utd spends a bomb trying to build a classic side but then missed out on the CL, look at where are they now. A sad story indeed.

Had they qualified for the CL after their previous successful CL campaign, we might juz see a Big 5 in the EPL rather than the usual Arsenal, Man u, Chelsea and Liverpool.

If Juve do get the automatic CL berth, Secco and company will definately start planning for the "Project: world class players acquisitions" and hope they get it right this time round. :scarf:

VDV or diego will be great for our mid,to give some creativity
giovinco should be recalled as well as hes doing very well at empoli and gradually integrated into the first team
then defence needs some sortin out with some buys

For the defence we need only a left back.
Next year we'll have Mellberg, Andrade, Legro, Criscito as center backs
with grygera and zebina on the right and giorgio and molinaro on the left.
we just need to trade molinaro.

Nice avvy ...:pint:
But Chiellini will play CD next year IMO...We need a LB as u said...bring back De Ceglie or buy Pasqual...Cristico will be loan out again...
I'll be happy with defence that look's like that

Zebina - Melberg - Chielini - De Ceglie/ Pasqual
