I have it. Very unpleasant.

This is what it is:
Uvulitis is an inflammation of the uvula, which is the small fingerlike piece of tissue that hangs down from the soft palate in the back of the throat. The uvula can usually be seen when a person opens his or her mouth wide.

Uvulitis is most often caused by an infection. Symptoms of uvulitis include swelling and redness of the uvula.

Home treatment for a sore throat may be all that is needed to relieve uvulitis. It may also go away without treatment.
Basically, this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uvula is swollen and in the way when I talk. It's touching my tongue all the time.
Anyone else ever get this and how did you treat it? I want to get the swelling down as quickly as possible, any tips on how to do that?

Thanks.

I'm not going to a doctor for something that is supposed to go away by its self in about a day. Not unless it goes on longer anyway.
Has anyone else had it no?

No, just a day. I was just curious if anyone else had had it (I've no idea if it's common or not) and I would really like it to have gone down by this evening so I wondered if anyone could help with that.

That's it, then. Tea with honey and lemon and pray to your God.

:lol2: thanks. I'm trying the tea with honey and lemon bit but I'm not sure what god to pray to!:p

Or you could gargle with warm water and salt. That might help.
    I'll try that too.
