ok so i have taken a bit of creative liscence with my 4-3-3 formation and have platini as an AM/playmaker but for me this would rip any team a new hole

----------------------Zoff---------------
Torricelli------Ferrara----Scirea------Gentile

------------Tardelli--------Deschamps-------
---------------------Platini--------------

Sivori---------------------------Del Piero
----------------------------Charles-----------------

Oh my God! I forgot Zidane in my formation. My memory is worse than a blue whale's... :irritated

This is my final chance to get it right:

Buffon

Toriccelli - Thuram - Cannavaro - Zambrotta

Davids - Emerson - Nedved

Zidane

Del Piero - Platini

:touched:

3-1-3-1-2 formation

Zoff

Gentile-Scirea-Cannavaro
-------Deschamps-----
--Di Livio----Tardelli------Cabrini
-------------Platini----------
------------------------ Boniek
-------------J. Charles
Nice team and all, but why is Del Piero not included in the list? :)

maybe because he is doing the greatest ALL TIME juve rather than the best of the last 20 years.

oh and how can you put davids and emerson in ahead of tardelli or deschapmps??

Never saw Tardelli play, Bozi. And Davids and Emerson are both better than Deschamps was. In my eyes.

Zoff

Ferrara - Gentile - Scirea - Pessotto

Tardelli - Furino

Boniek - Boniperti - Platini

Del Piero
You may find it laughable that I placed those stars in my lineup (Emerson, Cannavaro and Thuram) but I find it double as funny that you failed to include the best keeper the game has ever seen, Gianluigi Buffon, in your lineup.

Peccato!

The best keeper the game has ever seen is no one but your countryman, Schmeichel.

fair enough you never saw tardelli but deschamps was the lynchpin of one of the greatest ever juve teams, one that won the CL.

oh and though gigi may go on to become the greatest ever keeper, at the moment he is still below Dino Zoff in my eyes

That's your opinion and the opinion of many current football fans, but way much more people know that Schmeichel has been the better keeper. I am not saying that Gigi might not become the ultimate best, but so far, Schmeichel has been superior.

Del Piero has scored 209 goals and played more than 500 matches since 1993 for Juventus. His entire professional career has been for Juve. He has litterally laid down his life for his beloved Juventus. Even stayed in Serie B with us.

He is, if you judge only by talent, inferior to one the game has ever seen. What he can do with a football on a good day is incredible and he is always fun to watch.

Alessandro Del Piero is the ultimate mythical Juventus hero. :touched:

If DP does not deserve to be in Juve's all time 11 you shouldn't even include anyone in the list!

For your information, I followed Schmeichel when he was in his top form in Manchester United and I've been watching Buffon since his early days in Parma. Actually, the comparison between both will end in the same result as mine; Buffon rules.

Peter was insanely good. He made the fastest fever/reflex save ever in history, FYI.

For me who has seen a good share of both P. Schmeichel and Gigi my choice between the two is without thinking Buffon.

Don't get me wrong, The Big Dane, was VERY good. Buffon... From another planet!
