    First result of the tournament...

    Liechtenstein 0-5 Portugal

Portugal opened their UEFA European Under-19 Championship campaign with a 5-0 victory over Liechtenstein in Vaduz. Goals from Hugo Almeida (two), Fonseca, Joao Pereira and a Claudio Alabor own goal gave the Portuguese the perfect start.
