Without him Inter wouldn't have won the "scudetto without Juve in it" so he should be there even if some of us don't like him. He did suck in the CL so that might of gone against him. So I think Secco should win it. :mute:

Toni should be there for sure.

The thing is with Toni is that although he had a great season and in the league and kept his form through this season and in europe, not being in europe at all last season should really go against him. Same case goes to Ibra.

am guessing kaka would win it and it wouldn't be totally unfair

That explains why Toni isn't there but it doesn't explain why Totti isn't there. The man won the fucking european golden boot and he did make it to last 8 with his team in cl.

As for Ibra, you don't have to be his fan to see it's a scandal he's not there. Every realistic person would see that. He was nowhere to be seen in cl and that might explain why he's not on the list, but guys, Tevez and Torres are on that list, where is the logic ?

No Totti and Zlatan - i suspect Vlatko and Rab made the list :smoke:

this is ridiculous.
cannnavaro, vieria, rooney, thuram, etoo, juninho and marquez? none of them are even close to deserving the golden ball for this year.
They should be replaced by Potti(i hate him but cant deny he really deserves to be at least named) Toni(best striker in the world) Dida(hes very very important for whatever team is playing against milan) Trezeguet(cause hes a goal machine) and honestly i could go on and on with this list because there a tons of players who deserve it more then the top 7 i mentioned from the list.

Buffon in the running for FIFA World Player award

Gianluigi Buffon is among the 30 footballers short-listed for the prestigious 2007 edition of the “FIFA World Player” award, given out by the World Federation to the year's best player. Juventus' 'keeper is in a list that includes other four Italians: Cannavaro (who won last year), Gattuso, Nesta and Pirlo.

The National teams' Managers and Captains will decide the winner, to be announced on the 17th of December. This will be the 16th edition of the award; three Juventus players have already won in the past. The first was Roberto Baggio in 1993, then Zinedine Zidane (in 1998 and 2000; the Frenchman also won in 2003) and Fabio Cannavaro in 2006 (he'd played the first six months of the year for Juve before moving to Real Madrid).

As long as its Ronney or Ronaldo who win,id be happy.
Kaka, Messi,Buffon would be my top 3 from that list........

totti's achievement of finishing the season as golden boot winner, when he is not a number 9 and his team play with no recognised centre forward is a great accomplishment that should never be underestimated. i cannot believe he is not on that list.

also where is fabregas?

I just edited my post.Id vote for one of Kaka or Totti too.But i think in the end Kaka will get the award because of the pro-brazilian lobby in Fifa. Not that he doesnt deserve it,but still.
