I wonder if Morientes will start. I hope he does because he definitely deserves it, but Spain seem to have their minds set on a 4-2-3-1 formation.

also nuno valente is not likely to start.
Really? I thought he was a regular starter...

I wonder when the coaches will announce their starting line-ups. I assume the night before the game...

In repsonse to fliakis, this is actualy a great squad.. whats wrong with it? Dellas is a fantastic defender.. and karaguonis is also really good too.. and tomasson was 2nd top scorer in WC 2002, so i think i picked a good squad.

hey how do u actually score points on a fantasy league?
Here is how you score and how points will be taken away from you...

For playing in a game 1 point
For playing at least 60 minutes in a game (includes playing points mentioned above) 2 points
For each goal scored by your goalkeeper or defenders 6 points
For each goal scored by your midfielders 5 points
For each goal scored by your forwards 4 points
For each goal assist 3 points
For your goalkeeper conceding 0 goals and playing at least 60 minutes 5 points
For your defenders conceding 0 goals and playing at least 60 minutes 4 points
For your midfielders conceding 0 goals and playing at least 60 minutes 2
For every penalty save 5 points
For every penalty miss -2 points
For every 2 goals conceded by your goalkeeper or defenders -1 points
For every yellow card -1 points
For every red card (includes any yellow card points) -3 points

So each player will bring you certain number of points.

first of all, 4 defenders. they score least points. try 1-2-5-3 tactic.
then joaquin, who is not a starter. to score maximum its better to choose definite starters. also vieira, hes def mid, dosent score goals, few points. also you have players from weaker teams, they will concede a lot and also wont gain many points.

its best when you have attack minded starter who score loads of goals. then you gain lots of poins. as hydde said its a good team. but not for fantasy football game.

Actually that's not true. i don't know about this season, but in previous seasons of the Champs League Fantasy, teams with strong defenders have done just great. If a midfielder or attackers doesn't score goals, they get jackshit points, but defenders just need a decent performance and they can earn a fair few. Not to mention they get more points for scoring goals :)

    I would buy Zambrotta

Im sure he'll do lots of assists and you'll get more points because he's a defender

    the problem is his price!

only clean sheets get decent points. i dont greece or croatia getting clean sheets. what is the problem in international competition, good defendes always cost a fortune and its harder to predict who will be a dark horse.
still, gotta admit, wisely chosen attacking players get more points.

    I always play 3-5-2.

Strikers do score a lot, but they don't ALWAYS score. Defenders do bring lots of points, but only during a cleansheet at Fliakis mentioned. This leaves us with one group- the midfielders which bring more points for scoring (if they score) than the forwards and they also bring points during the cleansheet.
