For next season, nothing, the season after that, chances are big unless Inter wins the CL and the German teams left in Europe all loose in the next round, then it can still turn out ok I think.

The constant bickering and rivalry in europe amongst league club compatriots also plays a part. I dont know about the other leagues but I know in EPL you would get a lot compassion and support in europe from fans regardless if they are rivals or not.

On the plus side, no more excuses. Now there is objective proof that serie a is lagging in Europe. Unlike in recent years where they hid behind Italy's world cup success and the hiring of foreign coaches to argue serie a's was fine. It is clearly not.

Hopefully the reset button will be pushed and they will examine this failure in detail, which hopefully extends beyond the "mid table teams didn't try hard enough in the UEFA cup" non sense.

New coaches, new tactics, new stadiums, and a clamp down on fans who make the stadium an unpleasant place to visit for young families.

If we Italy finishes 4th in that ranking this season then Serie A is gonna be effected starting from next season. As in whoever finished 4th this season will participate in the CL while next season the team that finishes in that same position will end up playing EL.

well to be honest how could we complain ?

AC Milan should have walked the uefa cup last season, and Juventus should have reached the final at least.

As I mentioned the big players will be no longer interested in italy, heck the germans will start taking some of our players.

even if inter do win the cl, so what !

next season we need to make up for 6.0 coefficient points not gonna happen. I see us staying 4th for a long time now
