Because you have some Americans that really "aren't." For example, there is a strong chance that a Mexican that is born here to immigrant parents will support Mexico and "hate" the US. It also could be an extension of strong disagreement with the policies of the government. There are even members here that hate the US team because we're "arrogant," or some clearly untrue utter bullshit like that.

Really though, how could not a single country pick Spain?

Of course folks hate the US, that isn't surprising for a number of reasons. But the funny thing is, I can guarantee you that many of those who hate the USMNT also don't support their own NT. Case in poiny: half this entire forum. So I don't really give a damn about that.

And yeah, the immos that come to this country don't like us either, what a big surprise that is. But here we are coddling the illegals because clownbama thinks he can snag some votes. If this country doesn't become more right-minded soon, I am moving to Antigua.

Antiguans have been through plently of obongo types and now they want fewer taxes and less government. Why? Because they know that shiit doesn't work, they've been doing it fora long time

Check out Russia and their opinions of their own NT for that matter.

As for the US self-hate, I bet you it's:
a) a bunch of soccer haters in the U.S. who want to see the sport continue to stay in the shadows of other major sports here,
b) immigrants who support the NTs of their family lineage
