Guys, I am planning to bet on Columbus - LA tonight and I am thinking of a draw?
The best defense(LA) against the most complete mid(Columbus), both teams have not lost a game so far! Any important missing for each team??

Torres MUST be fielded somehow. I know we are playing England and we need some steel in midfield, and that they have the chance to overpower us. But what if I were to say that they will do so anyway?

The kid has the ability to make exquisite outlet passes and slow the match down when we need it the most. This will be critical if we want to beat England, much more so than Clark providing defensive solidity through the middle. We will have to score either way.

Perhaps start Torres next to Bradley, have the latter do more of the defensive work, and make sure they both position to protect the defense. Find Torres in midfield when the England attack breaks down and hit a wide ball to Landon.

Contrarian point of view, but I am a contrarian.

The biggest problem I see with the midfield is what happens when we receive the ball in our own third and are looking to keep possession and move the ball forward. Time and time again you see Bradley, Clark, Edu, et cetera, lose possession cheaply right after the other side gives it away. That needs to stop.

With Torres, you make it stop.

And that is that.

I thought Torres defense was superior to Clark as well. Maybe not as physical, but I don't think he missed a tackle and his positioning was always excellent.

Hopefully Bob will keep his string of good decisions running and start Torres.

Always been impressed with the kid.
