Onyewu is making a pathetic start in Milan. After that bad mistake few days ago, tonight he was owned by Milito on more than one occasion. Especially the first goal was funny.
Onyewu is nowhere near good enough to be a quality defender for Milan. I kind of like the guy though: he's an utter moron, but he's a nice moron. Unfortunately stupidity is not something you get away with if you're a defender in Italian football. I really hope they can educate him at Milan, but I doubt it (after all, who would be his teacher?).

Wait, I thought you weren't one to judge during the pre-season?
Dude, I know Onyewu better than you do. Onyewu's all nervous and like I said, he's stupid. As a Juventus fan I hope Onyewu continues to play like this. But as I like Standard and I like Onyewu, I hope he gets his act together. He has the physical presence, he has the ability, but he lacks the brain and he's not relaxed enough. Let's hope that changes.

In Belgian club football you do, I'll give you that. But when it comes to my team and his performances in the EPL, obviously I know what I'm talking about.

Nesta was a quality defender, but he's messed up now. And what's even worse: it's getting to him. Nesta's fucked up in his head right now.
Maybe Maldini is hanging around the training ground in some sort of an advisory role?

The fact of the matter is that I don't care if Onyewu becomes the greatest defender in Serie A or not. I think the experience will be good for him, especially if he can get some decent playing time. It'll be good for our NT, good for American soccer, etc.

That said, Milan is garbage at the moment. They were going to have a rough season with or without Onyewu.

That's all very true, but it would be nice if Onyewu did good. It would be nice for A LOT of people in fact. Unfortunately the odds are against him.
