The bitter beer was present.

As for the Azteca, I think it has more to do with the stadium being smack in the middle of the world's biggest smog cloud. Those guys play with oxygen masks.
Not only smog cloud, but also the world's biggest cauldron of terrorists.

good win for the U.S.

we're all winners anytime the beaners are lose

john harkes is a douche
Harkesy was great as a player, one of my favorites in history. But I don't really like his commentary. Seems to me he has an infatuation with Brian Ching.

At least he disrespects Zambrotta by calling him Zambrotto..

Oh man, that's for damn sure. Who did he give it to again? I don't even remember that doucebag's stint.
Chad "The Faggot" Deering. And then Claudio Reyna after Harkes refused to come back.

That shit was the equivalent of Ranieri tell Del Piero... "No thanks".

i liked wynalda, lalas and pope back in the day. harkes has always had an arrogant tint about him.
Wynaldo, Lalas, and Pope were all class. Harkes is arrogant, but he was also the US captain and the best player on the team for more than a decade. So he can be as arrogant as he wants, plus he's from Jersey.

And here I listened to the loudmouth Spanish announcers on Univision to laugh at the "golasso!" screams for the USA between beer commercials sponsoring the Mexican NT.

ESPN coverage was soo clueless but for some reason bearable.

    Yeah, he was vice captain.

But he would have actually deserved to be captain as he also had more than a decade's worth of allegiance to the team.
Indeed, certainly more apt than Chad fucking Deering. Tab Ramos should have also been considered.

Well, it's better than hearing "Huuuuugo SAAAAnchez" during every commercial on Gol TV.
