A wonderful piece of news for the city of Turin arrived this morning. The Piedmontese capital was officially named European Capital for Sport 2015 by ACES Europe (Federation for the Associations of the European Capitals and Cities of Sport).
A prestigious award indeed and one that Juventus played its part in achieving. One of the highlights outlined in the city's candidature was Juventus Stadium and the Bianconeri's home was visited by an ACES Italia Nazionale delegation on 26 September.
On behalf of everyone at Juventus we wish to congratulate the city of Turin, the mayor Piero Fassino, the councillor for sport and leisure Stefano Gallo and the city council as a whole for this splendid accomplishment.
