Until I see this news posted on respected sites like Football Italia and Goal.com, I'm very hesitant. :p
I hope it stays like this and it happens all of a sudden to surprise everyone. I really do.

I posted this in another thread, I just saw this one and I was like WHOAAAAA, it is a dream come true.

Since I am coming up with theories, I have a new theory as well. Del Piero is scoring, Zlatan is scoring and they both get involved in the game. Trezeguet is scoring but he does not get involved in the game.
My theory is, we will see Trezeguet being sold in January and Cassano will come in.

Now you will say this is a stupid thing to do and I will give you a point of view on why it is not stupid. Trezeguet is a striker, a hunter like no other, his instinct is unique and he knows how to get the goal. What does he do other than that in the game? Basically nothing. Now he is on top form, thus his value is very high and this is the maximum price that you can get for him. What if he gets injured, or goes off form soon, his value will drop drastically.

We sold Zidane at his maximum value and got the needed players, and this is what we will do with Trezeguet. It is sad to see him leave, but this is a long term investment that we all thank Moggi for.

Only 1 problem with that theory. Cassano wouldnt be able to play in the CL.

I really don`t think Cassano would be able to replace Trez,
He was different player.....
He cannot depend to be goalgetter / Bomber like Trez used to be

there's no chance we are going to sell trezeguet in the middle of the season. if we are to sell him, we will sell him at the end of the season. in january? no way. that would be a very stupid move. it's not like we're in debt and need to offload players and cash in. we are in form, we are finnacially stable and we are hunting the cl. selling a key player in the middle of the season doesn't fit in that plan.

I agree. if that kind of transaction has to take place, it'll be in the summer.

Moggi usually does'nt make big moves in January.

Plotting a transfer in the future, by trying to put together trends of the past, does leave a world of possibilities, because it certainly doesnt hold any guarantees. Zidane and Trezeguet are two completely different players. At the time, Moggi had an expensive rebuilding project in mind and Zidane's value was the only thing that could sustain it. Coming back to our situation today, we are a much stronger team than we were when Zidane left us. So if Trezeguet were to leave today, we'd surely make a lot of money, but what good would it be, if we'd have to spend the better part of it, experimenting with replacements for a centre forward - who'll probably not be even half as good?

How do you ratify such a move? Getting rid of Trezeguet now, especially to draft in Cassano, would mean, not only losing our only natural finisher but probably the best in the world. That complication is only further compounded by the fact that Cassano's inclusion would mean, just another support striker to an already existing plethora, who are all by the way, the level of Cassano, if not higher. Add to that Capello's unwillingness to deploy the trident at any given time, and you'll realise just how evidently we need Trezeguet on the team, even if it is at Cassano's expense. Fact remains, that if Antonio is to come to Juventus, he has to come at Del Piero's expense because that's who he's intended to replace eventually. Its also the only viable solution, if there is one at all.

That is not a problem anymore, players who have played in the UEFA with a club can play in the CL with another club if they have been transferred. This is a new rule this year by UEFA.
