hes scored 7 goals in 11 games in serie a and he was hardly ever fully fit.
allow me to rephrase that:
he's scored 7 goals in 11 games in serie a without doing anything else and he was hardly ever fully fit.

i'd rather have someone less injury prone who's scored 5,assisted another 4 and probably played a part in another 10.
trez?except for tthe goals he does nothing else really.

thats what strikers do. strikers may get an assist here or there but ther sole purpose is to score.

scored 5, assisted 4, and played apart in another 10? thats for a player ike del piero whos role it is to do exactly that.

Actually, strikers have a responsibility to make runs, create space, and be able to pass back into the midfield. The great strikers can also dribble, pass, cross, and come back to defend when called upon.

Well Vieri is a great striker and he can't do anything of those. cause this are the responsibility of the forward ( support striker).

well even if vieri doesn't do anything else in every possible aspect he's better than trez.

a striker should always make some runs,at least be able to cross and pass pretty well.he should be able to dribble and make long shots as well, which trez can't.

    Trez>>>Pippo

Kicked his ass in their season together at juve. Trez scored more goals with less matches, less experience and at a very young age. I think he is great. Ok he's not vieri but don't forget he is younger.

And Lippi has said in the past that Trez is from the best forwards around and that he is great at headers, fast and can shout with both feet.

As time goes on and he is more experienced he will improve

    Trezeguet follows with pains.

"The forward David Trezeguet, follows with the physical pains, and more than surely he will be out of Barcelona clash"

TURIN -- the French forward David Trezeguet, of the Juventus Turin and that the last week already lost by injury in a shoulder the game before Barcelona, going of the quarterfinals of Liga de Campeones, hardly will be in the Camp Nou in the return match. Trezeguet, that follows with pains in the affected zone and still it is to the delay to pass a medical revision with a specialist, today did not participate in the training of its equipment, limiting itself to make exercises in the gymnasium in the attempt of not losing all the physical form. Before it he is safe that Trezeguet will not be in the liga game Juventus Turin-Rome, at night of the next Saturday, and practically occurs him also by discarded for the important shock against Barcelona, of the 22 of this month.

Vieiri is a target man. He collects balls from the midfield then plas them back or turns to go on goals. He makes runs, thus creating space, he has passing ability, and he can mark a centerback out of the offence if need be. That's why he is a great striker. Treze is not.

I agree but still he can't dribble, pass, cross, and come back . and yeah he is better than trez.

Okay, Vieri has some skills on the dribble, much more than Trez. I mean Vieri can power through a defender with the ball at his feet, whereas trez is done when he comes up against a defender who has any skills whatsoever. No, Vieri can not cross well, but he probably does it better than Trez. and he can defend, I've seen him do it.

Trezeguet on the mend Thursday 17 April, 2003

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Trezeguet could feature for Juventus against Barcelona next week after he returned to light training on Thursday.

The Frenchman has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since the 2-0 win over Torino but is on the road to recovery.

The striker spent time in the gym earlier today before going on a light run with the rest of his teammates.

Trezeguet is definitely out of the Roma game this weekend but there is a slim chance that he could be at least a substitute against Barca on Tuesday.

The Bianconeri could certainly do with the international after the 1-1 first leg draw at the Delle Alpi last week.

Defender Mark Iuliano is also likely to miss the Giallorossi League game which has hit Coach Marcello Lippi’s plans.

The tactician was hoping to play Iuliano, who has a fever, in order to give Paolo Montero a rest.

He may now decide to play Igor Tudor alongside Ciro Ferrara in the centre of the defence.

Lippi was also asked whether Trezeguet, who is struggling with a shoulder injury, could be available for the Barcelona game on Tuesday.

"He returned to training yesterday and although there is still work to be done I am optimistic that he could feature," concluded the Delle Alpi boss.

trez is not injury phone. last two seasons he was almost always fit. this season he hurt his knee, stayed out for a long time. retuned, fell on his shoulder, out again. falling on shoulders in not injurey phoness
